First year flowering perennial. This unusual hardy perennial bears curious-shaped flowers in brick-red with yellow edging, almost like a mini sombrero! Native to the American prairies, plants are drought-resistant and make a useful addition to sunny borders, wild flower meadows and gravel gardens.
